Lush foliage plants are inter-planted with flowing perennials and shade trees, with bulbs for seasonal interest.

Paving materials include crushed pebble for the informal courtyard area, cobbles on the driveway and a curving pathway to the front door.

Haddon stone pots are used as focal features, and a pergola provides an area for alfresco dining.

The swimming pool is located in front of the house overlooking the Kerikeri River and out to the Bay of Islands.
